| Nagaon, Sept. 8: Defending champions Guidai Club entered the semi-finals of the Nindu Langthasa memorial inter-club football tournament by defeating Dimalik Razee 8-0 in the first quarter-final match at N.L. Daologupu Sports Complex at Haflong today. The tournament has been organised by Dima Hasao Sports Association. Guidai led Dimalik 5-0 till the end of the first half. Guidai striker San Dimasa scored the first goal in the 4th minute of the match. It was followed by four powerful shots at the goal by Sampo Dimasa, Laimuri Dimasa, Nambor Dimasa and Taisodao Dimasa in the 7th, 15th, 30th and 41st minutes respectively. Midfielder Haditai Dimasa fetched the sixth goal of the match in the 46th minute. The seventh and eighth goal were scored by Garnier Dimasa and Ganga Dimasa at the 58th and 69th minutes respectively. Shaijurang Club defeated Tularam Youth Club 2-0 in the last pre-quarterfinal match on Tuesday. More than 1,000 soccer lovers, gathered at the NL Daologupu Stadium, got the taste of some brilliant football today. Altogether 18 teams from different parts of the hill district participated in the tournament. The final match will be on September 15. Tomorrow, Waimijing A will meet Dibarai Athletic Club in the second quarter-final match. |
